Dear Jamie,

Today I rowed across Lighthouse Cove in my little boat. I found a lantern with a loose handle.

I tied it with a blue ribbon from my boat. It worked! Jamie, what would you bring on a boat adventure?

    We make their mail

A story from their mailbox friend, a matching coloring page, and an activity for their age.

  3. Step 3.

    They open the adventure

New letters build on earlier adventures, mailed on the 1st and 15th of every month.

A little look inside.

This example shows the feel of a letter. Your child’s stories will be made around their details.

Dear Jamie,

This morning, I rowed my little boat across Lighthouse Cove. A soft breeze pushed the clouds along. On the shore, I found a small lantern with a loose handle. The lighthouse keeper needed it for her evening walk. I wanted to help, but the handle kept slipping! I sat on a smooth rock and thought of you. What could hold it in place?

Then I spotted a piece of blue ribbon in my boat. I looped it through the handle and tied a snug bow. The keeper gave the handle a gentle tug. It stayed put! We carried the lantern up the path together. I felt proud that I had stopped to think and tried a new idea. Jamie, what would you put in a little boat for an adventure? I would save a seat for you.

Your friend,
Ollie
